Beaulieu House

This unique black & white colonial house located in Sembawang Park, nest on a Hill, with a mesmerizing sea view of the blue waters of Straits of Johor. It was built around 1910 and by 1924/24 it is converted to house the Naval Base. And later transformed to a restaurant that serving both Chinese and Western fares. And it definitely an ideal weekend runaway place due to its balmy and laid back surrounding. Not to mention, with breezy wind, quiet and peaceful ambience, one can enjoy a lazy afternoon here. And its alfresco dining area, with shelter and cozy candle lit ambience. It makes an romantic place for 2 =)

You be surprise at the food quality here and I think its a value for money given the ambience one gets to enjoy while tucking in the food. A few dishes which I would recommend are
1] wheat grass tofu (homemade),which is really green in colour, nicely fried with thick gravy poured over it. The thick gravy taste just nice and right.
2] Deep fried soft shell crab with Curry Mayonnaise
3]Crab with Salted Egg Yolk and Fresh Milk, quite yummy and creamy 4]Pork Ribs in Marmite Sauce,
5] Warm Chocolate Tart with Vanilla Ice Cream, the wrm chocolate just spurt/flow out of the cake. Have the warm choclate with cold vanille ice cream is absolute heavenly.

Oh, btw, they do hold outdoor BBQ, arrange outdoor/indoor wedding as well

Address: 117 Beaulieu Road
